Arshad Umer, MD

Dr. Arshad Umer is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of experience in the medical field. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in 1995, he worked at SLO General Hospital and Family Care Center in San Luis Obispo, California. In 2001, Dr. Umer moved to Houston, Texas, where he specialized in managing critically ill patients in intensive care at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and West Houston Medical Center.
In 2003, Dr. Umer founded Medistop Primary Care, a comprehensive outpatient healthcare system in Houston. Its first clinic was established in the Sugar Land area of Fort Bend County, Texas, where it quickly gained popularity. In response to the growing community, a second Medistop location was opened in North Katy, Harris County, Texas, in 2009. Recognizing that Rosenberg was medically underserved, we opened another location in 2024 in the southwest part of Rosenberg, Fort Bend County, Texas. Most recently, Medistop is launching a new location in mid-2025 in the suburb of Houston known as Dickinson, Texas, in Galveston County.
